About the Author
Elizabeth A. Coons was born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. Elizabeth graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has spent much of her life working with and advocating for children of all ages.
She and her husband currently reside in Lawrence, Kansas, where they raised their two sons.
About the Illustrator
Betony Coons was born and raised in a barn on an apple orchard in Kansas. Her house growing up was full of wonders - puppet theaters, zip lines, tight rope walks, a functional stage and more. It was one whirlwind of living and breathing; art and creation.
She studied at Bethel College and the University of Northern Colorado
Now, as a mother of three spunky girls and a little boy in Greeley, Colorado, She finds herself compelled to make beautiful things and to bring those around her into the process. Her desire is to do involve creativity in everything she does and to engage people.
