Academic apparel is a graduation and commencement requirement at the University of Kansas. The KU Bookstore is your official campus graduation source, and we’re here to outfit you for your ceremony. We have teamed with Josten's as our authorized supplier for the University of Kansas regalia and faculty rentals. All gowns from the KU Bookstore are black and have black velvet chevrons and front panel. The gown can be worn open or closed at the neck. |

Each rental is customized for the individual and requires preparation time at the Josten's plant. December Graduation rental order deadline is October 24, 2025. All orders placed after the deadline will be charged a $24.95 expedited order fee. Late orders cannot be guaranteed delivery or correct hood colors. |
Rentals will be available for pick-up starting December 2, 2025 at the KU Bookstore on the 2nd floor of the Kansas Union. |
