Handsome hat, but not "scarlet"
The red version of this hat is quite handsome and comfortable. However, it is too dark of a shade of red to be considered "Scarlet". It's somewhere between the Kansas shade of "crimson" red and the Iowa State shade of "cardinal" red, in my opinion.

Regarding the red version of this hat
The red version of this hat is very handsome and very comfortable. However, it is too dark a red to be considered "scarlet". Its shade of red seems to be a cross between the crimson red of Kansas and the cardinal red of Iowa State.
